About Us

When I decided to start my Scotch collection, I thought it would be great to travel around the United States and Scotland to collect rare bottles. I was fascinated that the distilling process has not changed in 200 years. Then I discovered online Scotch auctions and this opened the whole world for collecting. I was hooked. The Scotch House took two years to build with its museum quality display shelves and lighting.

Meet Randy
I was introduced to scotch whisky at a college football game many, many years ago. With a good friend and good scotch, my journey began…

I was fascinated that the distilling process for making scotch has not changed in over 500 hundred years. A scotch whisky is made from 100% malted barley, distilled in Scotland in pot stills, and matured in oak casks for at least three years.

When I decided to start my collection, I expected to find a few hundred bottles of single malt scotch. I quickly realized my mistake as distilleries alone numbered in the 1500s. Scotch flavor is very diverse and heavily influenced by the region of Scotland in which it is produced. Hence each bottle is representative of that distillery’s particular style and individual character.

I have had a 30-year journey collecting single malt scotch. My journey became an obsession leading to my current collection of over 7500 bottles stored in a climate-controlled museum-quality Scotch Vault. This website is a record of this collection. I hope you begin a journey with a friend and a bottle of single malt scotch. I encourage you to explore the rewards and pleasure of drinking scotch whisky.
